iPhone 4S Insurance

Cell phones have been around for years now, and as they evolve so does the price tag that comes with them. For many, cell phones are not just phones anymore, but a way to stay connected with loved ones and the world. The iPhones, for instance, are extremely popular, but they can also be kind of expensive. Many companies offer insurance for iPhones now, but do you really need it? And how do you know if it’s really a good deal or not?

Do you need insurance for your iPhone 4S? Well, that just depends. Are you clumsy, prone to forgetfulness, or do you have children? If you have answered yes to any of these, then iPhone 4S insurance is probably not a bad idea! Do you usually have enough money in the bank to replace the phone yourself if it was stolen or broken? If not, then you also might want to consider iPhone insurance.

There are many companies out there that offer iPhone 4S insurance plans now, but not all of them are a good deal. Be particularly wary of the fine print, deductibles, and what the policy really covers before making your decision. Often times the company you purchase your iPhone from will offer some kind of insurance that you can purchase as well, but these may not always be the best deal available.

Some companies offer iPhone insurance for a monthly price plus a deductible amount if you should need to use it. The deductibles can range anywhere from $50 to $200 if you need to use the policy. Some policies such as the manufacturer’s warranty only cover normal use issues and technical support with no coverage for accidents or theft. Other companies offer policies with a monthly payment and a deductible. Beware of some of these monthly payment options because there are some companies who offer two years’ worth of coverage for a flat rate that are often less expensive than what you would pay for the same period of time at the monthly rate.

The iPhone can be quite an investment and having to replace one would present a hardship for many. The iPhone has so many features and applications that it is really much more than just a phone. An iPhone is basically a laptop with web access that fits in your pocket. If you think about it that way paying for the insurance is a pretty good idea.

Many people consider buying an insurance policy for their phones and electronics a waste of money, and for some people it may be. Most people though consider these items necessities and use them on a daily basis. Using a phone on a daily basis and keeping it with you all the time is going to make it that much more prone to being dropped, having something spilled on it, or having it stolen. Unless you just have unlimited amounts of money to replace or repair your phone picking up a reasonably priced insurance plan is a smart idea.
