Pre-iPhone 4S Announcement Teasers

For the past few weeks and even months, the upcoming release of iPhone 5 has been the focus of most smart phone limelight. It has even made an impact in the social network sites and trended worldwide for its alleged announcement this coming October 4. It is no secret that Apple is already set to release the latest iteration of the smart phone that changed the way people lived and interacted in a highly mobile environment. However, what we hold right now are all rumors and these are yet to be confirmed on the date of the iPhone 5 announcement. But like any other big time release, many tidbits of information get out of the box as the date draws nearer. Here are a few of them which might just make you either feel all the more excited or lose interest with the iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S?

Perhaps the biggest question for now is whether this soon-to-be-unleashed smart phone will be called the iPhone 5 or the iPhone 4S? It can be noticed that Apple has become so wary of naming their upcoming phone; that when they set the announcement date on October 4, they haven’t even mentioned the name of the iPhone product.

iPhone 4G or 4S may be the way to go—just in case Apple doesn’t want to go with iPhone 5 as a forename for their product. Many users are looking ahead to an Apple product which boasts HSPA + 4G LTE capability and this alleged iPhone 4G may just do the job! Without a shadow of a doubt, this will give AT&T a big advantage while other networks like Verizon and Sprint might be prejudiced, having no HSPA + 4G technology yet, until next year.

Alleged Release on October 15th

Rumors has it that the iPhone will be released sometime during the first half of October but slip ups from well known telco personalities can further increase the truth value of these rumors. Several bigwigs of Europe’s telcos like Orange Mobile and France Telecom has shared that, “If we believe what we have been told, the iPhone 5 will be released on 15 October.” These statements, nevertheless, have stirred up the followers of the iPhone 5 but then again, it is worthy to take note that Apple does not schedule a shotgun release of their products, that is, release dates may vary per region.

Sprint to Join the Bandwagon

Furthermore, several telco companies have blasted message services to their subscribers informing them that reservations for the upcoming iPhone product are already underway. On the other hand, Sprint has announced that they will offer unlimited data plans to iPhone subscribers. It can be remembered that AT&T and Verizon have also offered unlimited data plans to subscribers during the early iPhone years but have then switched to tiered data plans and pricing, making subscribers pay their bills according to their bandwidth usage.

As the announcement and release date draws closer, iPhone fans and critics are getting more and more hyped up – no wonder Apple is really setting the bar in terms of effective viral marketing!
